Güntner Group, leader in heat exchange technology, has appointed Yan Evans as Managing Director, Global Data Centre Business, strengthening its leadership in one of the fastest-growing and most critical infrastructure sectors

A Chartered Engineer, Yan joins Güntner Group from FläktGroup, one of Europe’s largest HVAC companies. He built and led FläktGroup’s global data center operations from 2018 to 2025, delivering exceptional business growth across EMEA, AMER and APAC regions.

In his new role, Yan will lead data centre activities across the Güntner Group portfolio, working across Güntner and JAEGGI brands, which are trusted by hyperscalers worldwide for high-performance cooling solutions. The role brings together data center expertise across the Group’s brands under a unified leadership structure. Working closely with regional leadership, he will support the continued expansion of the business in key global markets and  deepen partnerships with data center operators and hyperscalers globally, as demand for digital infrastructure continues to accelerate.

Michael Bauer, Head of Global Sales, Growth, and Success at Güntner Group says Yan joins the business at a pivotal time: “Data centres are a key and rapidly growing focus for Güntner Group, where we already have a strong and established position. As AI, cloud and critical infrastructure continue to scale, the sector needs partners who have a global manufacturing footprint and can scale to meet demand, while delivering performance, efficiency, and reliability.

“Yan brings deep sector expertise and a proven track record in this high-growth sector. His appointment strengthens our ability to support customers globally, build on our existing relationships and expand into strategically important markets,” explains Michael

Commenting on his appointment, Yan says: “Güntner Group has strong expertise in the data centre space, with proven technologies, globally operating teams, and trusted customer relationships. With increasing focus on performance, energy efficiency and sustainability, there is a clear opportunity for Güntner Group to further build on this position, working closely with customers as their requirements grow in scale and complexity.

I’m looking forward to working with colleagues across the Group to strengthen our offering for the next generation of data centre infrastructure.”
