Electrical Training Provider, EC4U (Electrical Courses 4U), has announced its new partnership with the NICEIC (National Inspection Council for Electrical Installation Contracting) and ELECSA, to become the first electrical training and assessment centre to offer the Online Knowledge Assessment (OKA) in-centre.
Open to those attending EC4U’s Domestic Electrician Course or Package which are aimed at career-changers keen to become a domestic electrician, the OKA examines the competency and knowledge of the individual looking to pass the first stage in becoming NICEIC or ELECSA registered, or join their respective electrical schemes.
“The aim of this new partnership is to make it easier for our customers to carry out this all-important assessment at the end of their course here at EC4U, without having to worry about completing it in their own time,” explained Nigel Best, managing director at EC4U. “This online assessment is essential for electricians wishing to apply for the NICEIC and ELECSA Domestic Installer Schemes, where they must be able to demonstrate a minimum level of qualifications, knowledge and competency.”
Those who are successful in the OKA will receive a formal certification and will be eligible to enrol onto the next stage of qualifying for NICEIC and ELECSA’s electrical schemes.
