Tinytag data loggers monitor environmental conditions locally or throughout a building, helping to identify where steps can be taken to improve energy efficiency and maximise cost savings. Tinytags are cost-effective, reliable and easy to use.

Tinytag Energy Logger

The Energy Logger is a portable, non-invasive device for monitoring single and three phase power usage. It can be a useful tool for monitoring energy consumption in line with ESOS, ISO 50001, and other energy management requirements, helping to build consumption profiles, monitoring electrical distribution and providing sub-metering information.

  • Spot checks or longer term recording
  • Self-configuring
  • Small and lightweight
  • Simple display, download and management of data
  • £795 +VAT for full kit

The logger uses non-invasive flexible coils to monitor the current in each phase of a three phase supply, while voltage information may be obtained via a standard 13A wall socket. The unit also records ‘Power Factor’ (PF) data: this can be significant because power companies typically charge a higher rate for industrial or commercial customers with a low PF.

Temperature, relative humidity and CO2 loggers

Temperature, RH and CO2 loggers can help validate whether heating and ventilation systems are working correctly, monitor the performance of building materials such as insulation, help evaluate ‘before and after’ conditions in environmental retrofit or improvement projects, and record conditions to comply with H&S regulations. Temp/RH loggers from £69 +VAT, CO2 from £325 +VAT.

Radio Data Logging System

Radio Data Loggers are suited to use in premises requiring multiple logging points or remote data access. Data is gathered automatically using wireless communications and sent via a receiver for direct viewing on a PC, across a LAN, or remotely across the internet. As well as temperature and RH, loggers in the range also monitor low voltage, current and count inputs, making them ideal for use with third party sensors to record properties such as pressure, flow rates and footfall. Prices for bundles of three loggers/receiver/software start from £1000 +VAT.

Managing Data

Recorded data is presented in Tinytag Explorer, a versatile and easy to use Windows programme. Data is presented initially in graphs and tables which can easily be printed, copied and pasted, or exported into popular software packages. Data from separate logging runs can be combined in graphs and tables for comparison and analysis.
