The Electrical Contractors’ Association (ECA) and BSRIA are teaming up to deliver an industry conference on ‘smart energy solutions’.
The event, entitled “Smart Cities, Smart Energy” will highlight the considerable opportunities for energy distribution and generation, and its control and exploitation in cities. A number of expert speakers will discuss new technologies, and the opportunities and pitfalls of new ‘Smart’ systems. There will also be examples of systems that are already being installed and used to the advantage of both the supplier and customer.
ECA head of energy solutions Bill Wright said: “Smart cities are the future – and a crucial future market for our industry, but there are some big questions how they will be built and maintained, and how they will evolve. This conference provides an opportunity to brief installers on the key issues, share good – and what might even become best – practice and discuss and address any questions the industry may have. I’m delighted to be involved, and that once again, the ECA is working with BSRIA to deliver a leading conference on such a key issue.”
Jeremy Towler, senior consultant at BSRIA, commented: “There is a lot changing in our industry in respect of design, technology, legislation and practices which suppliers need to be aware of to decide how they will respond. Suppliers need to evolve, move up the value chain, embrace new technologies, develop new processes and build the necessary skills, as a result we are delighted to working closely with ECA on providing such an important conference.”
“Smart Cities, Smart Energy” will be held on the morning of Friday 27th March at the Wellcome Institute, Euston Road, London. To book tickets or for more information, visit: .
