A new range of circuit protection consumer units has been introduced by Crabtree that aims to save the installer time on-site while complying with the requirements of the 17th Edition Wiring Regulations.
The design concept of the new Starbreaker range means that there are fewer interconnecting cables, providing more space to route wiring, with provision for top and bottom wiring access.
Incoming devices and RCDs are already fitted when the board is delivered, and all MCBs and RCDs are simply plugged-in. It is also easy to plug-in an additional MCB without disturbing any other MCB or the busbar.
There is a full DIN-rail to allow Starbreaker to be customised with a selection of DIN modules, timers, bell transformers, contactors and meters. All can be fitted into any unused way.
Starbreaker’s enclosures come in a semi-matt finish, available in both insulated and metal cased versions. They include fully insulated busbars and large knockouts are provided for rear cable entry and side knockouts for surface or hidden wiring. Every consumer unit in the range is type tested to the latest British and European standards.
