Portable test equipment expert Megger has announced that the next in its regular series of transformer and circuit breaker open days will be held at the company’s extensively equipped training facility in Dover on Thursday, 3rd September.
There is no charge for the event but places are strictly limited and, as a similar open day held in June was heavily over subscribed, those wishing to attend are urged to contact Megger promptly to make a reservation, either by sending an email to uksales@megger.com, or by calling 01304 502236.
The open day will feature a high level of practical content, with demonstrations of the latest test technologies accompanied by presentations that provide an invaluable insight into the very significant safety, financial and operational benefits made possible by recent developments in equipment and techniques.
In addition to participating in the formal sessions, those attending will have ample opportunities to exchange ideas and discuss problems relating to the testing and operation of electrical power systems. The discussions will be facilitated by experienced engineers from Megger, who will be on hand throughout the day to provide expert input.
Transformer testing topics in the event programme include electromechanical measurements, insulation assessment and other diagnostic tests. Among the topics included in the circuit breaker testing section of the programme are timing tests, contact resistance measurement and coil measurements.
Megger’s transformer and circuit breaker testing open day on 3rd September starts at 9:30 am and is scheduled to finish at 4:00 pm. Refreshments and a buffet lunch will be provided, and those attending the event will be invited to tour Megger’s state-of-the-art test equipment manufacturing facility.
