Aico will be exhibiting their recently launched 160e premium smoke and heat alarms and AudioLINK CO alarm technology at ELEX in Coventry’s RICOH Arena 17-18th September.

A dedicated event for the electrical trade, the ELEX tradeshows enable electricians to keep abreast of all the latest products, techniques, rules and regulations, including the recently announced changes to English law regarding smoke and CO alarms.  This new legislation requires landlords in the private sector to install working smoke and CO alarms throughout their properties, with penalties of up to £5000 for those who breach their duty to comply with a remedial notice.  Aico will be on hand to explain the new law, which comes into force on the 1st October 2015, and show the range of cost-effective and reliable solutions electricians can offer to this customer base.

The two key product ranges for Aico at ELEX will be their newly launched 160e smoke and heat alarms and AudioLINK CO alarm technology.

Following on from the original highly successful 160 Series launched in 1999, the 160e builds upon this high quality, reliable and proven technology.  The Ei160e alarms come with an improved easi-fit base with additional screw holes, adapted for N° 8 Screws, and bigger terminals to accommodate 1.5mm² cable, which saves on installation time.  A new sensor chamber in the Optical alarm and new thermistor in the Heat alarm have been incorporated for even faster response times.  The aesthetics have also been enhanced and made 18% slimmer than the original 160RC series but retaining the same footprint.

Also, with the launch of the new 160e Series sees RadioLINK evolving to RadioLINK+. Only available in the 160e Series, RadioLINK+ allows alarms to interconnect wirelessly as before but has the added benefit of whole system data extraction.

Aico’s revolutionary new AudioLINK data extraction technology will share centre stage on the Aico stand.  Integrated into all Aico CO alarms, AudioLINK enables useful information – such as battery levels, last test date and CO levels detected – to be easily read and stored, using the free AudioLINK App.
