The National Insulation Association (NIA) and the British Standard Institution (BSI) has recently held two Green Deal Briefing events for over 200 NIA members.

The events provided NIA members with details of the opportunities available and the accreditation, installation and guarantee requirements for insulation measures under the new Green Deal and ECO.

A key element was the attendance of a senior official from The Department of Energy and Climate Change (DECC) who addressed key issues from the government’s recent response to the Green Deal and ECO consultation and took open questions from members.

Neil Marshall, chief executive of the NIA, commented, “These two events have been extremely important in providing members with the latest information on the Green Deal and in supporting them to maximise the opportunities available.”

The events were also supported by exhibitors from the British Board of Agrément, Ascertiva, Stroma Certification, the Energy Saving Trust, Green Deal Manager and the Solid Wall Insulation Guarantee Agency which launched its new 25 year Guarantee for solid wall insulation service at the event in Manchester.
