Following analysis of the networks’ fault history and performance, SP Energy Networks, the distribution network operator in central and southern Scotland, is installing new 33kV cables to modernise the existing infrastructure to provide a more reliable power supply.

The year-long project will allow for vital upgrades to the network which supplies around 31,000 homes and businesses in the Three Towns, Kilwinning and Irvine areas.

Work in High Road, Stevenson is under way and will continue in various locations throughout 2019, including Sannox Drive, Dalry Rd and Kenilworth Drive in Saltcoats.
