New haunted houses infographic shows how monsters rely on electricity to keep the scares alive

This Halloween, power quality specialist CP Automation has released a new infographic – Keeping haunted houses open – which reveals how many classic monsters rely on electricity to make them scary.

From creaking animatronics to eerie lighting and bone-chilling sound effects, every scare relies on a steady power supply. The new infographic takes a light-hearted look at what happens when power quality goes wrong and shows how the right technology can keep any facility — spooky or otherwise — running.

From animatronic skeletons and fog machines to lighting rigs and sound effects, haunted houses are packed with electrical equipment. However, just like factories and industrial facilities, they are vulnerable to electrical disturbances such as harmonics, brownouts and surges.
