A record number of visitors attended the latest series of NICEIC and ELECSA’s award winning Tech Talk events.

More than 2100 conscientious contractors poured through the doors of the 11 regional shows, which ran from September 2014 to March 2015 – a massive 41% increase on the previous year’s series.

The number of exhibitors at each event also grew by 30% making the latest series the most successful yet.

Sarah King, marketing events executive at NICEIC and ELECSA said: “Tech Talks give us the opportunity to go around the country and speak to our contractors about the latest happenings within the industry and find out first-hand the issues they want us to look at. The rise in number of visitors shows the level of care and interest our contractors take in their work.”

In addition to the Tech Talks the team also put on four additional roadshow events in Scotland this year. More than 300 contractors attended these shows which, like the TechTalks, included updates on Amendment 3, informative seminars and the chance to quiz the team’s technical experts.

NICEIC and ELECSA are continually investing in new ways to improve the visitor experience at each of its shows and the latest series of events included new additions such as the use of electronic voting pads and interactive videos featuring industry favourites Tony Cable and Darren Staniforth.

Feedback from the latest series revealed that 96% of attendees rate the show good or excellent value for money whilst 97% said they would attend again.

“After each series we ask the visitors about their experience and how we can look to improve. This feedback allows us to give contractors the information they want and desire and we look forward to putting on an even more successful series of shows next year.” added Sarah.
