Global uninterruptible power supply manufacturer, Zigor, has introduced a new 2U rack/tower On Line UPS range with extended run time battery options, high efficiency and SNMP management capabilities.

Designed to provide superior power protection, the Tiber is ideal for backing up an individual server, network racks or telephone switch board systems.

The On Line double conversion high frequency UPS replaces the hugely popular Zigor Rhin series and is available in 1kVA, 1.5kVA, 2kVA and 3kVA.

The Tiber’s internal batteries provide up to 10 minute battery autonomies at full load with battery packs that can be maintained or replaced via the front panel without removing the UPS from the rack mount. Additional extended run time battery modules are available in a matching design for long back-up applications.

The user-friendly LCD display panel can be easily rotated vertically or horizontally to suit the installation format. Users can manage the load, examine the UPS and gather remaining back-up time information via this function.

Also included in the new models is an innovative ECO and advanced ECO mode for energy saving which allows the UPS to operate in high efficiency up to 98%. Load is supplied by the mains in this operation. The inverter takes over the load and provides supply continuity to the connected systems in the event of a mains failure.

The new product also boasts an optional SNMP (Simple Network Management Protocol) interface card for securing monitoring of the UPS which informs users of problems when they occur.

Zigor continued the trend of naming their products after rivers with the Tiber its name after the third-longest river in Italy. The Tiber is available to order from this month and starts at £450 (ex VAT), including a two-year advanced replacement warranty as standard.

Gavin Banks, Sales Manager at Zigor UK, said: “We’re very excited about the launch of the new Zigor Tiber series. The extended run times provide businesses with even more peace of mind that their data will be protected in the event of a power failure.

“The new ECO options make the Tiber one of the most efficient uninterruptible power supplies on the market. With high efficiency of more than 90%, the Tiber allows high density power demands within the rack to be delivered using the minimum amount of rack space. The SNMP capabilities also give users the option to keep track of their power at all times.”
