The global AC drives manufacturer Vacon has announced that Jari-Matti Latvala, a driver for the Volkswagen Motorsport Team, is joining forces with Vacon for the duration of the 2015 World Rally Championship.

Jari-Matti Latvala has been competing in the WRC since making his debut at the 2002 Rally Great Britain. Since then, he has gone on to win twelve world rallies. Miikka Anttila has played a key role in Jari-Matti’s success, having acted as his co-driver for several years now.

“We are delighted to team up with Jari-Matti and help spread the word about Vacon to such a wide audience,” explained Heikki Hiltunen, executive vice president, market operations at Vacon. “Vacon and Jari-Matti are a perfect match, since we both place a great emphasis on teamwork and technological performance – after all, a great driver also requires excellence from his co-driver and team of engineers.”

“The same type of focus, ambition and determination are important for our own business, which is why we at Vacon want to recognise and support a real can-do spirit when we see it,” stated Joni Lampinen, brand and marketing communication director at Vacon.

“Jari-Matti represents the same values, attitude and success as we do at Vacon. This collaboration gives us a good opportunity to offer inspiring experiences for our customers and our employees in Europe, Asia and Latin America,” revealed Joni Lampinen. “This year will be Jari-Matti’s best chance of becoming the World Drivers’ Champion, and we can’t wait to cheer him on in his quest,” he concluded.
