Seaward’s portable digital microhmmeter, the Cropico DO7010, has been upgraded with the addition of a new data logging function.

New features include additional memory and battery capacity, plus next generation technology that provides four point measurement and enables users to operate the instrument for longer periods.

Data logging allows measurements to be recorded remotely and stored in the internal memory or downloaded to a USB memory stick.

An LCD panel displays information on measurement configuration and a single start button ensures ease of use. A remote hand terminal is also available to fully control the tester up to a distance of 15 metres.

Smart battery technology extends the operating time of the instrument, while an optional remote control pad allows the instrument to be used in difficult or confined working spaces.

The DO7010 has a measuring range of 600µO to 60O with 0.1 and 10mO resolution respectively, and can measure with switchable current levels of 1A or 10A on all except the highest range. Externally recharged NiMh battery packs can be replaced quickly via the front panel.

Other features include true 4-terminal measurement to eliminate lead resistance errors, auto average of forward/reverse measurement and sequence testing with memory for 1,000 readings.

The instrument is well suited to a range of design and manufacturing applications requiring accurate low resistance measurement.
