Siemens is supporting Amtech Group in hosting a two day conference on Building Information Modelling (BIM), the virtual information modelling process that is set to change the construction industry. ‘Crystal Clear’ Building Information Modelling (BIM) takes place on 17th and 18th June at The Crystal in London’s Green Enterprise District.

The two day Crystal Clear BIM conference will show how the process should work in the real world, in particular for services within buildings. It will address the needs of those who are already in the process of implementing BIM, as well as those who are looking for guidance on where to begin.

The keynote speakers are Roy Evans of the BIM Task Group GSL Workgroup and professor David Philp, head of BIM with the Cabinet Office and with international construction company Mace.

Paul Fisher, managing director of Siemens Low and Medium Voltage division, commented, “Amtech and Siemens share a vision where technology supports the design, construction and management of the built environment. We are therefore very pleased to be supporting this conference which, I have no doubt, will clarify the realities of BIM and enable delegates to take full advantage of the benefits it offers.”
