A new 18 port hardened managed Ethernet switch has been launched by ComNet Europe that is compliant with UL standards EN60950-1 and UL Class 1, Division 2, Groups A, B, C and D for Hazardous Locations.
The ComNet CNGE2FE16MS is the first switch from ComNet that meets the standards set for use in industrial applications where concentrations of flammable gases, vapors, or dusts occur. The new CNGE2FE16MS makes available 16 copper 10/100Mbps TX ports and two Gigabit optical FX ports that use interchangeable small form factor pluggable optic (SFP) devices as optical interfaces.
Exclusive to this new generation of ComNet managed Ethernet switches is the ComRing network recovery technology that allows the network to re-route transmission in the event of a network interruption in under 30ms. In addition, the CNGE2FE16MS is backed with a lifetime warranty.
