Schneider Electric, the global specialist in energy management, has now created online virtual tours of its Telford Customer Experience Centre and LV manufacturing Plant. With a VR-enabled smartphone and head mount, users can even experience the tours in an immersive virtual environment.

Intended to accommodate visitors unable to visit in-person, the virtual tours now open up Schneider Electric’s state-of-the-art Customer Experience facility to users from the comfort of their own home. From any desktop or mobile device, they can view the breadth of Schneider Electric’s offering, with intuitive pop-ups providing detailed product information on solutions from light switches to large switchboards.

Virtual visitors can also enjoy a behind-the-scenes look at the Telford LV Plant where many of Schneider Electric’s Prisma and Okken LV switchboards are manufactured and assembled. Through the interactive information, visitors can get a clear sense of the manufacturing processes that go into making these solutions possible, as well as gain an appreciation of the high standard, in-depth product and safety testing the switchboards must complete on their journey through production.

“We are delighted to be able to show off our wide range of market leading, connected technologies, as well as the high standards we hold ourselves to in manufacturing. Opening up this opportunity to virtual visitors means we can demonstrate our expertise for anyone, anywhere, at any time,” said Seth Townsley, Marketing Manager at Schneider Electric.

“We hope people enjoy their visits and come away feeling educated and inspired by how we are innovating towards a safer, more reliable and sustainable future.”
