The Elmo Drum line of digital servo drives has been expanded by Inmoco with the launch of Gold Drum HV. This is a 100A/800V, high power, super compact, direct to mains drive, designed for high level motion control application requirements. In terms of power output it extends the Drum range from 62kW up to 65kW.
As well as increasing the power range, additional features have been added to the Gold Drum HV range, including networking, built-in safety and high power density. These are combined with a fully featured motion controller and local intelligence capability.
The wide current, velocity and position bandwidth of the Gold Drum HV enhances its flexibility. To enhance dynamic performance and match the needs of demanding applications, advanced tuning, filtering and gain scheduling options are provided as standard.
In motion control systems it supports a variety of feedback sensors in single, dual and gantry loop configurations. Networking is deterministic and based on either EtherCAT or CANopen, with set-up and tuning made easy through the use of software tools available in the Elmo Application Studio. This Windows-based application enables users to quickly configure the servo drive for optimal use with their motor.
The Gold Drum HV also complies with all relevant safety and EMC standards.
