Pentair Technical Products has announced that the Schroff brand of MIDAS cabinets has recently gone through a redesign. Housing various 19” or 23” rack mount equipment, the MIDAS range features a fully welded, heavy gauge steel frame, which provides the ability to mount equipment, cable management, active cooling and other accessories. Pre-configured models are available in six standard sizes and engineered solutions are also available.
Models range in size from 23RU to 48RU (1,200-2,100mm) high, 600-700mm wide and 800-1,000mm deep. The 700mm wide communication cabinets can accommodate either 19” or 23” equipment and cables, and can be easily changed in the field.
The 600mm wide server configurations offer square hole rack angles for 19” rack mount equipment. Cabinets without windows are UL 1863 rated to a loading capacity of 1,000lbs, with a 4X factor, and all MIDAS cabinets are RoHS compliant.
The MIDAS cabinets are suitable for use in a variety of markets and industries, including OEMs, VARs, networking, security, information technology, test and measurement, medical and general electronics.
Fan kit provisions are included with all MIDAS cabinets, and a range of accessories are available including vertical and horizontal cable managers, shelves, PDUs, thermal management accessories, castors and levellers. Door options include window, perforated and split perforated. A range of modification services are also available to suit specific application requirements.
