Polypipe Ventilation, manufacturer of market-leading domestic and light commercial ventilation systems, has launched a new range of 100mm axial fans as part of its Silavent Green Line collection of low energy ventilation appliances.

The new energy efficient bathroom and toilet intermittent extract fans have been specifically designed to consume less power to comply with Parts F and L of 2010 Building Regulations and help reduce the carbon emissions of new and old properties.

Offering one of the lowest Specific Fan Powers available, at 0.22 W/(l/s), the new axial range actually exceeds 2010 Building Regulation requirements, using less power and extracting more air, therefore significantly reducing the build-up of condensation and mould.  Furthermore, when in stand-by mode, the fans use up to 70% less power than other low energy fans which, when combined with the fans low Specific Fan Power, makes them the most energy efficient range of axial fans available.

The new Silavent Green Line 100mm axial fans are available in wall or window mountable and in-line versions and have been designed to directly replace a standard axial fan for maximum convenience.  The range also includes safety extra-low voltage (SELV) variants, ideal for installations within the splash area of a shower or bath.  All models are available with a variety of user-friendly optional controls, including timer, pull cord, humidistat and a movement sensor.

Manufactured in UK, the 100mm axial fans are competitively priced and come with a two year warranty as standard.  The fans form part of the Silavent Green Line range, which also features energy efficient centrifugal Curzon and Mayfair plug-in bathroom extract fans.

Delivering premium ventilation technology for the last 50 years, Silavent fans have a well deserved reputation for quality and excellent technical support, in line with Polypipe’s position in the ventilation market.  Polypipe Ventilation is well placed to offer immediate, practical solutions to revised Building Regulations Parts F & L.  The company continues to provide differentiated solutions in the private and social housing sectors, transforming the way developers and specifiers meet emerging environmental standards.
