In addition to the light curtains and the safety light arrays that have been established for years, the Tettnang-based company now offers additional safety light curtains, various safety switches, relays and interlocks as well as protection columns and thus completes its attractive security range.
The innovative wenglor security technology is designed to boost system availability and to prevent production downtimes by means of intelligent self-monitoring and early diagnoses. To ensure maximum freedom in system design the safety technology is designed with space saving in mind. It offers maximum safety for personnel and equipment (up to PL e) in small space. In addition, the two-channel technology provides high protection against tampering. wenglor not only attaches great importance to easy handling, configuration and flexible installation of the safety technology but also offers innovative and future-proof products which are wear-free and particularly easy to clean.
In the area of the safety light curtains wenglor offers four variants in total, one of which has been completely redesigned: The type 4 curtains can be used as both hand and finger protection. Equipped with basic functions such as protection mode, restart inhibit or protection control, they provide reliable protection for hazardous areas. The curtains do not have any blind spots and allow for an extremely space-saving installation. Thanks to visible red light, the safety through-beam sensors are quick and easy to align and allow for monitoring of areas of up to 60m. Also for applications requiring full-body protection, wenglor has the ideal solution: Safety light arrays (type 2/type 4) cover areas between 0.5 and 20m with red light beams. This range of safety light arrays and light curtains is complemented by suitable protection columns, which convince by additional protection, deflection mirrors, and comfortable mounting.
New products in the range of the security portfolio include four control elements and various safety relays which provide maximum safety at the work place. The emergency stop switch is self-monitoring, tamper-proof, and allows for quick installation due to standardized connection technology. It enables rapid stopping of systems. The safety switch convinces by modern RFID technology and reliable position monitoring of movable safety devices. Its contact-less functionality ensures a long service life. Another new product is the matching safety locking device. It prevents access to the hazard area. The self-monitored locking force and the high protection against tampering make this product complete. The fourth operating element is the enabling switch, which enables work in the hazard area as a manually operated control device. Last but not least, wenglor presents two new safety relays and an expansion module. The DIP switches allow for easy setting of the relays and are self-explanatory. The self-monitored hybrid fuse and an LED diagnosis display make the relay a comfortable module for signal evaluation.
