Free seminar – Learn more about weighing technology applications and solutions – 30th May
Attend HBM’s free Technology Day, focusing on Weighing Technology applications, solutions and new products, this event promises to be an informative and interesting day.
HBM will demonstrate the best way to apply the right load cells to the right application and give advice on ways of minimising measurement errors to give greater accuracy with measurement results. To provide a better understanding of what environmental conditions and outside disturbances need to be taken into account when designing for a weighing application.

The event will be held at Burleigh Court Conference Centre, Loughborough on Wednesday 30th May, to ensure your place register before the 18th May.

Stress Analysis workshop – 16th May 2012
Attend HBM’s one-day strain gauge seminar on Wednesday 16th May 2012 and gain valuable know-how and competence in the following areas:
- Theory of strain gauges, including fibre optic strain gauges
- Strain gauge installation techniques
- Connection to an amplifier and making a measurement
- Application workshop including measurement techniques, post-process data reviewing using catman® and nCode GlyphXE™
The seminar will be divided into workplaces, each with its own set of tools and equipment. A workplace can accommodate between one and three students from each organisation or company. The cost for the first student is £275, followed by an additional cost of £100 each for the second and third students. The workplace cost includes a DAK1 strain gauge starter kit. All materials and refreshments are included.
The event will be held at St James‘ Park, Newcastle United FC on Wednesday 16th May, to ensure your place register before the 4th May.
