More than 100 towns in Colombia have been provided with internet connection after UPS manufacturer Zigor supplied and installed its Zigor Volga 2kVA model to 115 towns in the Antioquia area – one of 32 states located in the central north western part of the country.

Zigor was appointed by the Colombian government as part of a project run by the Institute of Development of Antioquia to increase the technological capabilities in infrastructure and to promote social and economic development.

Zigor sales and marketing manager, Jesús Maria Eguiluz, said, “Antioquia is a remote area and well known for its spectacular and complicated orography. It provided us with many technical challenges but we are delighted to have achieved all of our goals.”
