Pixel numbers are important in thermal imaging. The more there are, the clearer the thermal picture and the easier the diagnosis. Until the end of the year, FLIR Systems is offering its customers higher image resolution for the same price in a promotion to demonstrate pixel power. That means it’s now possible to buy a FLIR E6 for the price of a FLIR E5 and a FLIR E5 for the price of a FLIR E4.

The FLIR Ex-Series point-and-shoot thermal imaging cameras are affordable replacements for a spot pyrometer that provide a complete radiometric picture of the thermal problem.  All models provide thermal and visual imaging and complement both with FLIR’s unique MSX® image enhancement capability.  The promotion provides attractive savings across the range of up to £839.

For those seeking the best deal on more sophisticated cameras FLIR has got that covered too.  The FLIR Exx-Series range introduces interchangeable lenses that enable the camera to be used for an even wider variety of tasks.  Manual focus also allows the user to dial in the sharpest clarity and finest accuracy. Four models are in this Exx-Series offer the E50 and E60, and their building science counterparts – the E50(bx) and E60(bx). Customers can take advantage of savings up to £1,908 on these FLIR Exx cameras designed for the professional thermographer.

In every sense, the FLIR T-Series professional thermal imaging cameras are head-turners. These are premium models for use in a multitude of industrial and building diagnostic applications and, for a limited period only, customers ordering a FLIR T-Series camera will also receive additional FLIR products free of charge up to the value of £6,703.

The FLIR T-Series are high definition hand held instruments that have exceptional measurement performance, image clarity and a highly responsible user interface.  All feature FLIR’s unique swivelling head which makes them very easy to use in all environments.  Top of the range is the FLIR T1K with a 1024 x 768-pixel uncooled detector that offers twice the sensitivity of industry standard uncooled sensors. This performance is complemented by other resolution enhancing features and FLIR’s OSX™ HDIR optics.

Customers ordering a FLIR T4xx standard or building science model will also receive free, the FLIR Tools analysis and reporting software suite and a FLIR C2, the world’s first, fully featured, pocket-sized thermal imaging camera.  Moving up the range to the FLIR T6xx models, a wide-angle 45°lens or a 15°lens is added to the package.  And with the top-of-the-range FLIR T1K, customers also benefit from an extra year on product warranty.

There is also another attractive offer open to customers not wishing to take advantage of these product bundles. Until the end of the year, anyone wishing to trade in their old model camera – whatever the brand – against a new FLIR T-Series model, qualifies for a discount. On a FLIR T4xx or T4bx this equates to 15% and on a FLIR T6xx or T6bx, it’s 20%.

Earlier this year FLIR introduced the world’s first thermal imaging clamp meter – the FLIR CM174 with Infrared Guided Measurement (IGM™).  It visually guides users to temperature differences and pinpoints anomalies, so they can put the fault into context and effect a lasting repair.  And now, until the end of December 2016, this increasingly popular instrument is part of special product package for electricians that provides a saving of £82 on the overall price. This discount applies to any order for a FLIR CM174 imaging clamp meter with a TA74 or TA72 universal flex current probe, and a TA15 pouch.

Builders benefit too with two special product packages dedicated to their needs.  The first comprises a FLIR MR160 imaging moisture meter, another first of its kind as it is also equipped with a built-in thermal imaging camera. This highly durable meter has an integrated pinless sensor and an external pin probe – giving the user the utmost application flexibility.  Also included in the deal is a FLIR MR08 hammer and wall cavity probe; total cost saving to the customer is £45.

For those seeking even more functionality from an imaging moisture meter, the FLIR MR176 is part of the second discount package for builders. This premium meter provides pin and pinless moisture measurements, four thermal imaging colour palette options, customisable moisture and environmental readings on the thermal image and a built-in thermo-hygrometer. An on-board laser pointer and display crosshairs make it easy to hone in on a potential problem.

This package also comes complete with an MR08 hammer and wall cavity probe, and an MR01 field-replaceable temperature/relative humidity sensor, offering the customer a cost saving of £205.

All of these FLIR offers are available until 31st December 2016. As standard, all camera models are covered by FLIR’s industry leading warranty of 2 years on the product itself and 10 years on the detector.
