AMP Power Protection have announced an expansion into new premises at the iCentre in Newport Pagnell, after outgrowing their previous unit at the business park.
Their new combined larger office and workshop is double the area of the previous space.
The need for more space has been necessary, after winning major contracts from multiple industries – including Defence, Marine, Transport and Power – to provide their Rugged UPS and Custom UPS solutions.
AMP Power Protection are part of the AMP Group, alongside supply chain specialists AMP Procurement. Together, the AMP Group are now a preferred Power & Procurement Partner for the Type 26 Frigate project for the UK Ministry of Defence. AMP Power Protection have also supplied Rugged UPS solutions across the Royal Navy fleet, such as the QE Aircraft Carrier and Type 45 Destroyer.
In the Transport Industry, they recently announced a contract with Siemens Mobility Limited to provide Roadside UPS Cabinets (RUC) for critical intersections. And they are also working on major new contracts in areas such as Water, Renewable Energy and Maritime.
Earlier in 2020, AMP Power Protection announced the acquisition of the former Harland Simon UPS. AMP therefore has full rights and access to all designs & documentation of all equipment supplied by Harland Simon UPS since 1995 (over 25 years.)
