Training facilities at the NICEIC’s head office in Dunstable have received a welcome boost with the provision of two new training boards produced and supplied by leading fire protection and security products supplier, ESP.

Giving electricians the opportunity to work with some of the very latest fire protection products, the ESP training boards are being utilised at the Bedfordshire head office as well as the Chesterfield training centre.  They are providing a valuable boost in the amount of hands on and practical experience available for each individual taking up one of the fire training courses on offer.

Darren Staniforth, technical development manager, NICEIC & ELECSA, comments:  “We are indebted to ESP for the help they have given us in supplying these training boards.  In the last 18 months we have really invested in our fire training provision to meet the growing demand and provide a much more comprehensive course.  Having previously offered one full day course to try and cover all aspects, we are now offering a modular approach, which means candidates get a much more in-depth learning opportunity.  They can choose from a range of modules that cover legislation and standards; the design process; installation, as well as commissioning.  Being able to offer a more hands on approach with the support of the ESP fire training boards makes all the difference to the overall learning experience. “

Comments Neil Baldwin, ESP sales director: “We are delighted to be able to assist in some way with the NICEIC’s training provision.  We value highly the role that the organisation offers to the industry.”
