Offering back-up to an individual server, network racks or telephone switch board systems, Zigor has introduced its new Tiber online UPS range.

The Tiber replaces Zigor’s Rhin series and is available in 1kVA, 1.5kVA, 2kVA and 3kVA. The Tiber’s internal batteries provide up to ten minute battery autonomies at full load, with battery packs that can be maintained or replaced via the front panel without removing the UPS from the rack mount. Additional extended run time battery modules are available in a matching design for long back-up applications.

The LCD display panel can be rotated vertically or horizontally to suit the installation format and, using this function, users can manage the load, examine the UPS and gather information on remaining back-up time.

The new models also feature an ECO and advanced ECO mode which allows the UPS to operate in high efficiency up to 98%. Load is supplied by the mains in this operation. The inverter takes over the load and provides supply continuity to the connected systems in the event of a mains failure.

The Tiber also has an optional SNMP (Simple Network Management Protocol) interface card for secure monitoring of the UPS which informs users of problems when they occur.

Gavin Banks, sales manager at Zigor UK, said, “We’re very excited about the launch of the new Zigor Tiber series. The extended run times provide businesses with even more peace of mind that their data will be protected in the event of a power failure.”
