Standby power company, Dieselec Thistle, has won the AMPS (Association of Manufacturers of Power Systems) Company of the Year Award.
The bi-annual award forms part of the AMPS dinner and IP&EE Exhibition (Independent Power & Energy Europe) held every two years in Birmingham. The award aims to single out a company that has achieved tangible success over the past two years, as Angela Barnett from AMPS, explained, “The Company of the Year Award is the highest accolade that we bestow and it is open to any AMPS member.
“We have a judging panel to consider all the nominations and this year we were really looking for a company that could demonstrate what they had done to stand out in the marketplace. The panel all agreed that Dieselec Thistle’s achievements in progressing from where the company was two years ago to its market leading position now was quite remarkable and the award is richly deserved.”
Dieselec Thistle’s directors, Gordon Taylor, Brian Muirie and Paul Moore (pictured left to right) all attended the dinner to receive the award and praised the contribution made across the company’s team to helping Dieselec Thistle grow so rapidly over the past two years.
Muirie commented, “This award means so much to the company because it endorses all the hard work that has gone in across the company over the past two years to help us achieve our commercial objectives. Dieselec Thistle has the combined resources and expertise of two specialists in the standby power sector and we have leveraged all that experience to capitalise on market opportunities while continuing to deliver the excellent levels of customer service and technical support that lie at the heart of our reputation. It’s an important milestone for us from which we will continue to build on the company’s achievements in the future.”
