Curtiss-Wright awarded contract by BMW for Exlar GS Series For Exlar GS Series Roller Screw Driven Robotic Weld Gun Actuators

 
Curtiss-Wright Corporation’s Sensors and Controls division announces that it has entered into a multi-year agreement with German automobile manufacturer BMW Group to provide its Exlar brand of integrated, roller screw driven electric actuators for use on robotic weld guns. Under the agreement, Curtiss-Wright will provide all required robotic weld gun actuators for two new facilities currently under construction in North America.

“This new agreement validates the stellar benefits of our design in terms of power density, performance, service life and overall weight savings relative to the requirements of robotic weld gun applications.”
 
The Curtiss-Wright Sensors and Controls division facility in Chanhassen, MN is performing the work under this contract.
