Bosch expands innovative Wireless Charging range for recharging on the road

  • Wireless charging increases productivity by ensuring power-readiness of cordless tools
  • No need for multiple spare batteries or vulnerable contact points
  • System now expanded for use on the move with vehicle charging and 4.0Ah battery
  • Fully compatible with all Bosch 18 volt professional power tools

Bosch’s innovative Wireless Charging System uses inductive energy transfer to keep cordless tools power-ready. It saves time, money and hassle by ensuring jobs are never delayed by lack of charge, reducing the need for multiple spare batteries and damage to vulnerable electrical contact points. These stresses which Bosch call ‘charge anxiety’ will become a thing of the past with its Wireless Charging System which has expanded with several new innovations.

The first advance is the introduction of the GBA 18 V 4.0 Ah lithium-ion battery into the Wireless Charging System which offers double the runtime of the existing 2.0 Ah battery. In addition, tradespeople can now recharge on the road with two vehicle charging options.

The Wireless Charging Holster charges cordless drill/drivers inductively while you are driving and is especially suitable for professionals who work directly from their car such as repair service technicians. Once integrated into the vehicle, the Wireless Charging Holster takes up little space and charges the battery during each journey. When the user arrives at the jobsite, the tool can be conveniently taken out of the holster and is immediately ready to use. It fits seven 18 volt cordless tools from Bosch and holds the tool, battery and charger. Made from robust shock-absorbing material, it provides a secure hold during travel.

The Wireless Charging L-Boxx Bay also charges whilst on the move but offers the added benefit that the tool and a spare battery can remain in the L-Boxx during charging. It charges cordless drill/drivers, combis and impact drivers and will be expanded to include other 18 volt cordless tools. The shockproof Wireless Charging L-Boxx Bay comes with a matching three-piece inlay which protects tools, batteries and accessories during driving. The charging status of both batteries is easy to read from a charge level indicator on the charging station and on the battery itself.

Award-winning innovation: the Wireless Charging System from Bosch

The Wireless Charging System has already won multiple awards and recently also won over the jury of the established Plus X Award, one of the world’s biggest innovation awards for technology, sport and lifestyle products. It was named “Best Product 2015/2016” and made Bosch the “Most Innovative Brand 2015” in the “Tools” category.

The new additions to the Wireless Charging System from Bosch are available at specialist retail outlets.
