Visitors to the new Electrical Design & Install Expo 2017 (ED&I) show will have the opportunity to explore a range of new lighting control products from CP Electronics, a brand of Legrand. Sponsored by the Electrical Contractor’s Association (ECA), the show takes place at Birmingham NEC between 6th-7th September.

CP Electronics will be using the show to launch its new mid-range presence detector, EBDMR, and its RAPID scene control solutions. These new products bring together its complete range of solutions for specifiers, lighting designers, contractors, and facilities managers and will be on display at the Legrand stand 113.

CP’s new EBDMR detector draws on its acclaimed series of ceiling-mounted passive infrared (PIR) presence detectors and features a domed lens for a greater detection range of up to 15m. This makes it ideal for projects where full coverage of a room of this size is required, and when there are only two or three luminaires in use. As a result, often one detector is required instead of two, with less wiring required, saving time and money.

The product will be on show alongside CP’s new RAPID scene control range, which provides advanced scene setting functions for the RAPID lighting control system. The product allows end users to control lighting from a tablet or smartphone through a new, cloud-based app, whilst stylish plates help create a complete scene setting solution.

All of these new products include a five year warranty as standard, and have been designed and manufactured in the UK at Legrand’s CP Electronics site in Wembley, in response to widespread market demand. The company will also be showcasing its existing range of standalone detectors, pluggable systems, and wireless solutions.

Mike Brooks, Marketing Manager for the CP Electronics brand, commented: “ED&I Expo gives us a great opportunity to introduce our extensive product range to the electrical installation market. What we will demonstrate on the Legrand stand is the fact that we have manufactured solutions for a number of different audiences. By working closely with these markets, we are able to continue to design and manufacture innovative new products which address the needs and requirements of the market.”

The ED&I Expo provides a forum for some of the leading names from across the industry to showcase their products, together with a programme of conference and learning opportunities.
