An industry-leading manufacturer of lighting and energy controls has lent its backing to a major electrical event in Scotland as it continues to grow its presence in the region.
The new look CP Electronics sales and technical support team has been announced as the headline sponsor of an industry race night, the proceeds of which will go towards the Electrical Industries Charity (EIC). The event will bring together more than 50 contractors for a good cause.
Taking place on Friday 26th May at Rhoderick Dhu, Glasgow, the event will aim to raise money for the EIC, with all proceeds going towards supporting electrical industry tradesmen and their families through times of hardship. Attendees will be in with a chance to win prizes over the course of the event, which has been described as an evening of buffet, beverages and banter, accompanied by eight exhilarating horse races on big screens.
Paul Chesworth, Northern Sales Manager of CP Electronics, explained: “We pride ourselves on being a responsible business, which takes our role within the electrical community very seriously. As we ramp up activity in the Scottish market, we saw an opportunity to give something back, and hope that our contribution will go some way towards improving the lives of the electrical, electronics, and wider energy community.”
Since CP Electronics unveiled plans to consolidate its presence in Scotland the team has worked on a number of large scale projects, including the prestigious Balfour Beattie headquarters. The outlook for the remainder of 2017 is looking positive for CP Electronics as it looks to continue the momentum that it has built up in Scotland since the turn of the year.
Sarah McKenzie, Marketing & Events Coordinator at EIC, explained: “Our aim is to support electrical industry professionals through life’s challenges. Life can be unpredictable and in times of hardship, this is when people most need to pull together. We deliver fundraising activities that are always great fun and a reminder that we are all part of a wider community, coming together for a worthy cause so close to so many of us.”
