Social housing guru Wayne Hemmingway will be the guest speaker at this year’s NICEIC Live South which takes place at Epsom Downs racecourse on 16th May.

Hemmingway originally made his name in fashion design but is now more associated with the design of social housing projects and was recently appointed chairman of Building for Life (the national standard for well designed homes and neighbourhoods forum).

He will be discussing the opportunities that will exist for contractors in this space in the future.

The event will also include a packed seminar programme with over four hours of learning opportunities including technical sessions from NICEIC’s Tony Cable (pictured below) and Darren Staniforth.

Attendees will also be able to meet a wide range of suppliers in one place with a number of companies already signed-up to attend, including electrical distributor WF Senate as a partner sponsor. Additional exhibitors already confirmed include Megger, Click Scolmore, Brother and Aurora.

“This will be the third year for NICEIC Live, which has now become a permanent fixture in the industry calendar.” said NICEIC’s head of group marketing Mark Smith.

“Around 1,000 people attended the two shows last year, benefiting from the great line-up of speakers, seminars and exhibitors. This year promises to be even better with NICEIC, ELECSA and ECA contractors coming together. The event is a great day out and provides contractors with the opportunity to learn and take information back to their day to day role.”

Following the recent partnership between the Electrical Safety Council (ESC) and Electrical Contractors’ Association (ECA) the cost to attend the event has been reduced to £29.00 for all those contractors listed on the Electrical Safety Register.

The rate for non-registrants is £49.00. In addition to this, exhibition only passes will be available free of charge.

NICEIC Live North will also return later in the year with details of speakers and sponsors to be announced soon.
