Thomas & Betts, SPE Offshore Europe, Aberdeen, 3-6 September, 2013, Stand 1A 59

As part of the ABB Group serving the oil and gas industries, Thomas & Betts will have a major presence at the forthcoming SPE Offshore Europe 2013, Aberdeen. The extensive range of exhibits highlights the breadth of hazardous area solutions available from Thomas & Betts.  These include electrical conduit systems and cable glands, lighting and enclosures, cable trays and surge protection equipment from many of the well known T&B brands including Kopex-Ex, DTS, StarTeck, Hazlux, T&B Cable Tray, Furse, Emergi-lite and others.

These brands are designed to allow the specifier to select products for global oil and gas industry projects.  They are designed for both upstream and downstream applications, with products approved to main global standards including ATEX, IECEx, UL and CSA.

At the exhibition Kopex-Ex will be launching its new cable gland range for hazardous area which will include Exe and Exd cable glands for armoured and unarmoured cable.   These will sit alongside all Kopex-Ex world renowned conduits, fittings, thread converters, stopping plugs and other accessories.

For the first time Thomas & Betts will be exhibiting its Startek and Kopex-Ex ranges alongside each other, showing the true breadth of the offering.  This combination of products is also reflected in the lighting arena, where Hazlux and DTS will also exhibit together.

In addition, DTS will exhibit its range of enclosures including a comprehensive range of hazardous area control stations and junction boxes.  Many of these use ABB components as part of their make up, as well as Thomas & Betts professional wire and cable management systems.  These include Ty-Rap, Sta-Kon power connection control and Furse surge protection products.
