The Power of More set to shine as Cummins prepares for Middle East Electricity 2015

Feb 24, 2015 | UPS & Standby Power

This year’s Middle East Electricity exhibition will offer visitors the opportunity to explore how Cummins Power Generation, a division of Cummins and a key player in the industry, delivers more: More Performance, More Reliability, More Support, More Innovation and More Heritage.

Cummins is bringing The Power of More to the 40th edition of MEE, set for 2nd – 4th March at the Dubai World Trade Centre. Visit us in Saeed Hall, Stand S3D30.

Debuting is the recently launched QSK95 Series high-horsepower generator set. Rated at up to 3.5 MW, it is Cummins most powerful diesel generator set to date. Already it is giving big performances as a dependable power source in the most challenging environments.

In Western Australia, a QSK95 generator set supports round-the-clock production at Cloudbreak mine, one of the largest iron ore mines in the world. In the remote township of Turbah, Saudi Arabia, the entire community is benefitting from the additional power and performance provided by the QSK95, which was installed at the existing power plant. It has proven to be the perfect fit alongside the other 71 Cummins Power Generation generator sets at the site, demonstrating fuel consumption, power density, maximum uptime and reduced operation and maintenance costs. Also on the Cummins Power Generation stand will be a power systems simulator to demonstrate Cummins complete range of power systems, including transfer switches, PowerCommand paralleling systems, generator sets and remote monitoring solutions.

A further outstanding display will be the new Gas Power Module from Cummins Power Generation Energy Solutions Business. Thanks to a digital interactive model, stand visitors will see the product and its key features brought to life through augmented reality (AR). The module functions as a container which has the capabilities to meet a range of customer requirements. Equally adaptable to high or extreme low temperatures, the module is especially well suited for prime and standby applications, mining industries, remote island locations, and anywhere a rugged and robust power solution is needed.

Rounding out the exhibition are the Cummins Diesel G-Drive engine with CoolPac, C1500 D2R PowerBox powered by the QSK50G9 dual-frequency engine, exclusive to Cummins, as well as the C275 D5 residential generator and C17 D5T telecom generator.
