steve cheese appt releaseRexel UK has appointed a new business development manager to support its expanding electric vehicle (EV) charging division. Bringing with him a wealth of experience gained with leading renewable brands, Steve Cheese was strategically hand-picked by the business to help pioneer its newly launched Energeasy Drive online platform for the EV charging market.

A genuine industry figure-head, Steve previously occupied the role of business development manager at leading solar PV provider, Kingspan Energy Ltd where he was responsible for developing partner relationships with property developers, architects and contractors, in order to secure specifications and generate new business. Prior to this, he worked at renewable energy specialist, E-Tricity Ltd as an area sales manager.

Now active in his new role at Rexel UK, Steve will be responsible for propelling the Energeasy Drive offer; raising the profile of the brand nationally and creating demand across all sectors of the EV charging environment, both on the commercial and domestic fronts.

Steve Everard, head of Rexel Energy Solutions comments: “Following significant planning and investment, this January saw the launch of Energeasy Drive – our new online platform designed to help installers get on board with the electric vehicle (EV) charging market and make the most of this rapidly growing opportunity.

“As more consumers and businesses alike make the switch to EV, it is vital that we continue to expand the charging infrastructure needed to meet this escalating demand. As such, we specifically developed Energeasy Drive to help take the confusion out of EV and make it easier for installers looking to diversify into the sector.

“Steve’s role is integral to this in helping to raise our profile and expand into new territories. We are therefore thrilled to have someone of his calibre on board to help us in our bid of leveraging Energeasy Drive to propel EV adoption forward.”

Steve Cheese added: “I’ve always been a huge advocate of the Rexel brand. The company’s culture to invest, research and innovate has always distinguished it from the rest of the market, and I’m looking forward to driving the business forward into further success.”
