Nexans high voltage power cables will equip an ambitious new power project by Hyundai Heavy Industries Co.Ltd (HHI), the EPC contractor for the Nasr Full Field Development Project in Abu Dhabi. The contract, valued at around 90 million Euros, will see Nexans units supply high voltage power cables and infield cables.
Nexans teams will deliver and install 132 kV XLPE insulated three-core infield cables incorporating fibre optic elements, together with 11 kV XLPE insulated three-core infield cables, with fibre optic elements. The cables will be manufactured at Nexans’ specialized facility in Halden, Norway and delivered to the Nasr oil field, which is located around 130 km northwest of Abu Dhabi City in UAE.
