Following the mandatory energy usage audits carried out by qualified assessors as part of the Environment Agency’s Energy Savings Opportunity Scheme (ESOS), voltage optimisation emerged as one of the technologies most regularly recommended to companies as a viable solution to reduce energy consumption levels

As a result of these assessments, Powerstar will be running a series of free nationwide ESOS seminars in February.

The seminars are aimed at both qualified ESOS assessors and companies eligible for the ESOS scheme who are keen to learn more about voltage optimisation, the different technologies available and the savings that can be achieved. The seminars will also enable attendees to establish contacts and working relationships with local voltage optimisation experts.

The events will take place over four consecutive days, with seminars running between 9:30am-11:30am and will be held at Epsom Downs Racecourse in London on Tuesday 16th February, Best Western Westley Hotel in Birmingham on Wednesday 17th February, the EMSc (UK) Ltd Powerstar head office in Sheffield on Thursday 18th February and the Trafford West Premier Inn in Manchester on Friday 19th February.

Managing Director and inventor of the Powerstar voltage optimisation system, Dr Alex Mardapittas, will host the seminars in London and Birmingham with regional business development managers hosting the Sheffield and Manchester seminars.

The Sheffield seminar, held at the in-house Powerstar demonstration facility will also provide a full product demonstration, tour of the manufacturing facility and testing of savings on various electrical loads, ideal for those interested in seeing a voltage optimisation system in operation.

Commenting on the seminars Dr Alex Mardapittas said, “From the discussions held with ESOS assessors nationwide it is apparent that voltage optimisation has been recommended in around 85% of their energy assessments.

“As part of the drive to increase knowledge and understanding of voltage optimisation it is important that we deliver these seminars. The roadshow will allow both consultants and businesses to identify a provider of voltage optimisation that can assist in implementing the recommended actions from the ESOS audits to maximise energy savings.”

Powerstar is fully designed and manufactured in the UK, and provides average annual electricity consumption savings of 12%-15% without compromising the supply to electrical equipment.
