Powerstar, a global company for voltage optimisation, is continuing to build a portfolio of clients in the hospitality sector after having successfully installed a system in one of the world’s most prestigious hotels, Atlantis, The Palm.

With 1,500 guest rooms and an enviable position at the head of the Palm Island resort, Atlantis The Palm hotel has redefined luxury not only in Dubai, but across the world. The resort was recently recognised as the World’s Leading Landmark Resort in 2013 by the World Travel Awards.

As part of Atlantis, The Palm’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), it is actively implementing a sustainability programme and chose a Powerstar voltage optimisation system to assist in its strategy to reduce electricity consumption and cut carbon emissions.

Having identified Powerstar to be one of the most effective solutions available on the market, when considered against other viable alternatives, engineers from Powerstar’s distributor in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) MHM Green Systems, duly developed a tailor made solution for the hotel working together with Powerstar engineers in the UK.

Powerstar is a project-led engineered solution, fitted by specialist voltage optimisation engineers. MHM Green Systems has a long tradition of working in the green technology sector and has developed an enviable reputation at providing unrivalled support for its partners.

When installing a Powerstar solution, engineers from MHM Green Systems conduct non-intrusive site-specific energy audits before each installation, to ensure the optimum engineered system is implemented for the individual site and to meet each customer’s requirements.

Dr. Alex Mardapittas, managing director of Powerstar commented, “To have a Powerstar in any building is exciting, but to have one installed in a globally recognised hotel makes everyone at Powerstar very proud. We are delighted we can say Powerstar is helping Atlantis, The Palm hotel make energy savings.”

Powerstar has remained true to its philosophy and continues to carry out all its research and development, as well as sourcing and manufacturing in the UK.
