As the UK renewables industry continues its upward trajectory, Energy 2015 has firmly marked its place on the trade show calendar – providing a much-needed focal point for the energy generation sector at UK Construction Week.

The brand new event is aimed at energy specialists, civil engineers, architects, building contractors and other energy sector professionals, and is firmly focused on providing insight into the latest trends and valuable face-to-face time with the industry’s leading players.

Taking place as part of UK Construction Week, the biggest construction trade event the UK has seen in years, Energy 2015 will be held at the Birmingham NEC from 6th – 8th October and will feature more than 2,500 square metres of exhibition space, showcasing the latest technology and innovations from across the renewables and energy generation sector.

All aspects of the industry will be covered, including solar thermal and PV, water management, biomass, wind, geothermal and the latest energy storage developments.  A series of high profile debates, seminars and CPDs will tackle the key issues facing the industry, providing a forum for education, networking and business growth.

Richard Morey, Group events director at Media 10, the event company producing UK Construction Week, commented: “The renewables sector in the UK is experiencing massive growth, as activity ramps up significantly in order to meet the 2020 clean energy targets.  It’s a hugely exciting time to be involved in this industry and we hope that Energy 2015 will provide a platform to encourage even more progress and business connections.”

The event also comes with a raft of support from professional bodies representing a great number of products, manufacturers and professionals working within the renewables industry, including the Zero Carbon Hub and the British Photovoltaic Association.

Reza Shaybani, chairman of the British Photovoltaic Association commented: “Connecting the solar PV industry with the construction industry as a whole through an event like Energy 2015 at UK Construction Week is something the BPVA has been demanding for some time. This is an exciting opportunity for us to showcase solar photovoltaics at the heart of the construction industry as we come together as part of a national and international event.”

Uniquely, Energy 2015 will provide access to professionals from across the entire construction industry thanks to the UK Construction Week umbrella. Featuring eight other shows, UK Construction Week will bring together 1,000 exhibitors and more than 55,000 visitors under one roof.

In addition to Energy 2015, visitors to UK Construction Week will also be able to attend Grand Designs Live, the Build Show, Timber Expo, the Surface and Materials Show, Kitchens & Bathroom Live, Plant & Machinery Live, HVAC 2015 and Smart Buildings 2015.
