CEF, the UK’s leading electrical wholesaler has launched issue 4 of the CEF Trade Catalogue along with an interactive online version and new Trade App, to enable customers to quickly and easily access the electrical products they need to get the job done.

Packed with almost 30,000 products from exclusive in-house and leading brand suppliers at every day value prices, the new catalogue features over 800 new products and a brand new EV Charging section, as well as the company’s lowest priced Trade Essentials range, cable and cable management solutions, heating and ventilation, lighting, wiring accessories, site equipment and test instruments.

For the first time, customers can access a shoppable, digital interactive version of the printed catalogue for ease of use and on-the-go accessibility. Available to view as a PDF online, customers can easily flick through the pages to browse the products online and click on a product to buy or view more information about the product on cef.co.uk.

In addition, the new CEF Trade App has been developed to accompany the catalogue and is available free for both iOS and Android. The CEF Trade App allows customers to purchase products directly from the printed catalogue by simply scanning the product code with their smartphone camera, offering customers increased convenience and flexibility in accessing the company’s extensive range of over 35,000 electrical products.

Ordering products using the App is as easy as 1 – 2 – 3:

1] scan the catalogue page using your smartphone camera

2] select the products you need and add to basket

3] check out securely

Andrew Moseley, Commercial Director at CEF explains “We wanted to make the process of ordering electrical products as easy and convenient as possible for our customers – wherever and however they are working and the way to do that is to better connect our customers offline and online experience.

We know that people browse our catalogue to select the products they need and many do so whilst also searching our site on a mobile device.  The new App and digital catalogue remove the need to hunt down product codes and make it easy for customers to search and select the products they require.

The launch of the interactive catalogue and CEF Trade App are the latest developments in CEF’s journey to become the leading multi-channel wholesaler and offer greater convenience for customers irrespective of whether they are shopping in-store or online.

In Q2 2019 CEF upgraded their website to include visible pricing, improved search functionality and guest checkout, allowing customers to find and purchase the products they need quickly and easily.

In May of this year, they launched the CEF Trade Hub to provide customers with quick and easy access to industry news, product knowledge and training.  And in August digital signature software was implemented across all stores, so that customers can sign for goods on their mobile device – removing the need for pen and paper.

“These latest developments demonstrate how we are utilising the latest technology to create an industry leading customer experience through our 390 stores and online via cef.co.uk” stated Moseley.

The CEF Trade catalogue is available now and can be picked up at any CEF store, or ordered online at cef.co.uk/request.  The interactive version of the catalogue can be found at catalogue.cef.co.uk and the CEF Trade App can be downloaded from the App Store or Google Play today.
