NICEIC has teamed up with south west-based DCET Training to deliver a major breakthrough in training provision for the electrical sector.

DCET Training is now an official training partner with NICEIC meaning electrical contractors in the South West no longer need to travel up to training centres in Chesterfield, Darlington or Dunstable to obtain NICEIC accredited training.

Instead, quality NICEIC accredited training is available at DCET centres in Exeter, Plymouth and Redruth.

Bernard Collins of DCET said, “We are committed to providing the best and most useful training programmes available. This partnership will deliver great benefits to contractors in the South West region – ensuring they receive the most up to date and relevant courses developed and delivered by leading industry experts.

“As this quality brand is rolled out, DCET will be ideally placed to offer up to the minute branding of top quality training for electrical contractors in the South West.”

DCET Training, formerly Devon and Cornwall Electrical Training and part of the Focus Group, is the first training provider in the UK to have such a partnership with NICEIC.

All NICEIC approved courses will be available from DCET including updates on 17th Edition, PAT training, installation and maintenance of heat pumps, electric vehicle charging, fire alarms and many more.

All training will be jointly branded as NICEIC and DCET and, where necessary, accredited by City & Guilds or EAL.

Alan Charlton, head of training at NICEIC added, “We are delighted to be working with DCET. We have rigorously checked the quality of DCET’s training. As every electrical contractor in the South West will know this is second to none. We think this partnership will be a major success.”
