More Products added for PCB Hardware and Cable Management Requirements
Following the successful launch of its plastic fasteners and fixings range for Printed Circuit Board (PCB) hardware and Cable Management in 2012, TR Fastenings (www.trfastenings.com) is delighted to announce that the range is to be increased to include hundreds of new products over thousands of lines to become a core part of TR’s ever-growing portfolio. Electrical engineers have specific needs in both product and quality requirements and, as TR celebrates its 40th anniversary this year, it looks forward to meeting these through the extent of its product range and scope of its quality certification.
New for 2013
Manufactured in high-performance and incredibly versatile Nylon 6 and Nylon 6/6,
TR Fastenings’ PCB range includes circuit board hardware, rivets, screws, Cable Management and wiring accessories. This year it will be introducing an extended range of UL-approved nylon cable ties, together with a new range of push mount and screw mount fasteners, knot ties and releasable cable ties. In addition, it will be launching a range of standard injection moulded nylon fasteners (including washers, rivets, nuts and clips) for use across a variety of applications.
Plastic as the Preferred Solution
Combining functionality and reliability without compromising on quality, these plastic fasteners feature extensive benefits which can streamline production processes. Not only can one plastic fastener be used for a variety of purposes, but they have other qualities, including ease of use, being formed from a lightweight material, strength at low and high temperature, resistance to impact, abrasion, organic solvents and gasoline, retention of shape and stiffness at high temperature. Also, importantly, TR’s plastic range meets with the necessary industry standards and sizes, all products satisfy the RoHS compliance legislation, are ISO 14001/2004 compliant and are available in flame-retardant versions.
The moulded nylon range for PCBs addresses a multitude of application needs, but is especially beneficial to the electronics and telecoms industry, finding use in ATM machines, PCs, laptops and mobile phones, as well as lighting. In such applications, with their closely grouped electrical components, plastic fasteners offer the ideal solution as they are a non-conductive material.
Plastic Drives Design
In the automotive sector, Ariel Motor Co, a UK specialist car manufacturer, was able to make great use of TR’s plastic cable management components in its new Atom sports car, to help take weight out of the structure to enhance its world-famous performance.
TR’s supply capacity for the plastics range will meet small and frequent orders right up to large contract accounts, catering for next-day delivery on all standard stock items (non-standard is 7 to 10 days). Customised solutions and tooling for new parts are available on request. Complementing TR’s core product range, plastic fasteners will be available on Direct Line Feed as a standard item to help customers’ production needs and reduce their supplier numbers.
