New luminaires for Leeds University

Mar 6, 2012 | Lighting

luminairesAs part of a £21m project at Leeds University Campus, Riegens has supplied its Cirrus pendant luminaires for the new Charles Morris Halls student accommodation.

Situated around a courtyard landscaped garden, the development is a mixture of two new half hexagon shaped blocks and a refurbishment of existing buildings which blend the Victorian, Georgian and 1960s architectural buildings together.  The halls, which have been awarded a ‘very good’ BREAM rating, will offer over 450 individual bedrooms.

Installed by Airedale Electrical, Riegens Cirrus pendants have been utilised in corridors within the halls of residence. The slim, circular Cirrus luminaires are wire suspended, with direct light to ceilings channeled through slots in powder grey finish metal housing, and direct accent light using 22W and 40W T5 lamps.  Riegens Cirrus is available with various control gear options including HF, HF Dim/DALI, Switch & Dim.
