New hood for connector range

Feb 12, 2013 | Cables and Accessories

HARTING, the manufacturer and distributer of electrical and electronic connectors, network components, pre-assembled system cables, and backplane assemblies, has introduced a new hood with an angled cable outlet for its Han-Yellock industrial connector.

The new hood is designed with the shape of the human hand in mind, and enables optimum housing clamping operation. In particular, it makes it easy for untrained personnel to carry out perfect connections. The risk of faulty operation is reduced and operating convenience is increased.

The division of the hood into two makes it easy to gain access to the electrical contacts, allowing servicing and testing to be carried out efficiently.

This type of housing has a range of applications covering M20, M25 and M32 cable entry points. The result is an interface that can be used in operator consoles, input devices, displays and support arm systems.

These products are capable of withstanding harsh demands in industrial environments and provide high data rates for electronic applications.

HARTING connectors and network components are used in mechanical engineering and plant manufacturing, in automation systems, energy generation and distribution, and in electronic and telecommunication markets, plus construction machinery, rail vehicles and shipbuilding.
