Following its £650k investment Motovario, a manufacturer of industrial gear units and electric motors, has opened its MAC – Motovario Assembly Centre – at its Droitwich facility. The centre which assembles gear units from component parts at reduced leads times can now offer a fast build service within one hour for a size range up to 14,000 Nm.

In addition, the facility also houses a new warehouse which has doubled storage capacity at the site and enabled stock levels to grow to in excess of £1.25m, which has also improved productivity. A training facility has also been created for the development of staff, distributors and customers.

Ivan Partridge, Motovario managing director, commented, “This is the largest investment in the history of Motovario’s UK subsidiary. We aim to double our turnover over the next five years and this investment was necessary for us to continue to increase market share and customer loyalty to the Motovario brand”.

This is the third MAC centre to be opened in the UK, with the other two strategically located at the company’s partners Betech, West Yorkshire and JJ Loughran, Northern Ireland.
