Cable management manufacturer, Marshall-Tufflex, will be showcasing its range of conduit and fittings plus Mini and Maxi trunking profiles at Middle East Electricity exhibition (February 7-9th at Dubai International Exhibition Centre). The stand will be situated within the British Pavilion in Hall 6.

The exhibition coincides with the opening of Marshall-Tufflex’s new factory in Industrial City Abu Dhabi (ICAD). Its opening has created a number of new jobs, with more expected when 24 hour operation is introduced, improved technical support/customer service and access to a large stock holding.

Marshall-Tufflex managing director, Jim Fletcher, who will be attending MEE, explained that the move was a “key strategic investment” for the company, “The Middle East has always been a successful and important market for us and the Marshall-Tufflex brand is very strong. Our new factory will enable us to better support our customers in the region. It is a very positive and exciting time for Marshall-Tufflex and we’re looking forward to seeing customers old and new at MEE to bring them up to date with our developments.”

The factory will serve solely the Gulf market and has been developed as a joint venture in conjunction with Trizac Abu Dhabi, a company primarily associated with distributing pumping systems to the oil and gas industry in the Gulf and North America. Trizac was looking for a partner to work with in what is termed ‘Plastic City’ – an area within ICAD set aside by the Abu Dhabi government to develop manufacturing facilities for downstream oil-based products. Bashar Anabtawi, general manager of the new venture, will also be on stand at MEE.

The factory will predominantly target the GCC states of UAE, Oman, Qatar, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia and Kuwait. However, as the operation progresses it will look to service the needs of other Middle Eastern markets such as Iraq, Jordan and Lebanon.
