A data centre in Liverpool has recently called on the services of MEMS Power Generation after it suffered a major failure affecting all three of its sites’ 1,250kVA emergency standby generators. MEMS were instructed to install temporary equipment until a permanent repair could be completed.
Response to the site was critical and MEMS only had a short window to disconnect and isolate the sites’ emergency standby generators and replace them with a fully installed and commissioned temporary solution.
A team of engineers worked on-site to supply three 1,250kVA machines complete with ancillary equipment, and they set-up and commissioned the temporary installation. The data centre was then able to continue with its day to day operations while the sites’ emergency standby generators were repaired.

Our main concern was to provide enough power to ensure business continuity and to enable the company to operate as normal while its permanent emergency generators were being repaired.”
