LED lighting company JCC has announced the sale of the business to US electrical manufacturing company, Leviton Manufacturing Company, the global provider of solutions to meet the needs of today’s residential, commercial and industrial buildings.
The deal provides JCC with the support of an international player to further enhance its growth both within the UK and overseas, while for Leviton it is a compelling strategic move, giving it a strong presence in the UK market.
JCC’s products are designed in the UK at the JCC Innovation Centre. JCC designs and develops a range of commercial and domestic LED lighting products which are distributed through the electrical wholesale channel.
JCC has been following a focused expansion strategy, centred on product innovation, and led by the company’s executive chairman Richard Adey. JCC’s approach has revolved around new product development, a refined product range which is focused on LEDs, and a revised marketing strategy, putting emphasis on merchandising and major project activity.
JCC will be run as a wholly owned subsidiary of Leviton led by Adey who will be reporting to Daryoush Larizadeh, chief operating officer of Leviton Manufacturing.
