Delivering high flexibility, ease-of-installation and available in multiple sizes and colours, the family of expandable braided sleeving products from Techflex is available now from Optimas Components. Techflex braided sleeving covers many forms, including general purpose, scissor-cut, wrappable-split, flame retardant, ultra-high / low temperature and EMI, RFI, ESD protected.
Halogen-free, general purpose FLEXO PET (PTN) grade is a low-cost, entry-level cable bundling and protection product that is easy to expand over cables. It is UV, abrasion, fuel and chemical resistant and comes in a wide range of sizes and colours. A flame retardant VW-1-approved variant is also available – FLEXO FLAME RETARDANT (FRN).
Offering a high abrasion resistance, easy field-installation and wide operating temperature range of -70 to 125°C, FLEXO CLEAN CUT (CCP) sleeving can be cut with scissors without fraying – making it ideal for applications where access to a hot knife is difficult or impossible. A flame-retardant version is also available.
More flexible than split conduit or spiral wrap, FLEXO F6 (F6N) is a flexible, semi-rigid wrappable split braided type that opens up and wraps tightly around the installation. Cut and abrasion resistant, the sleeving retains its shape and rigidity over a wide temperature range of -70 to 120°C. An orange colour is available for safety identification in electric applications. The F6 WOVEN WRAP (F6W) variant provides higher flexibility and is suitable for retrofitting to a cable’s full length.
Ideal for electrical shielding and grounding, FLEXO TINNED COPPER METAL BRAID (MBN) provides a superior EMI, RFI and ESD protection. It complies to CID-A-A59569 and ASTM-B 33.
Withstanding ultra-high temperatures, flame retardant INSULTHERM TRU-FIT (FGL) delivers highly flexible protection for electrical applications. It is solvent resistant and can be cut with scissors – making it easy to install in harsh environments.
